On.U Sound

It is 3 years since our last new productions were released. Most of our recordings are not available in record shops at present and over sixty titles are out of print. Unforunately, on some titles the copyright (right to manufacture) belongs to other labels.

This is the case with albums such as Bim Sherman's 'Miracle', Lee Perry and Dub Syndicate's 'From the Secret Laboratory' and 'Time Boom the Devil Dead' and Little Axe's 'The Wolf That House Built' and others. It's our intention to get all the classic albums made available and in shops again.

Luckily for fans in Japan, the above has not been the case. Beatink Japan/ON-U has flouirished and many of the classic Adrian Sherwood/ON-U productions as well as the Hitrun/4D Rhythms and Soundboy works have been released and packaged immaculately. This is hopefully going to happen everywhere else in the world (we live in hope).

• Starting from Oct 2006 a flurry of new releases and back catalogue will be available via EMI/ON-U and Real World records.
• ON-U will be opening an online shop before the years end.
• All release dates, tour dates, contacts, info and history will be posted on the web site.
• Free downloads, audio and visuals will be available and much more
• A full length DVD is currently being made for 2007 release containing. Rare footage such as Lee Perry burying his TV set in Adrian Sherwood's back garden (watched by a laughing Bim Sherman); rare acoustic material with Sherman, Bonjo I and Skip "Little Axe" McDonaold recorded in 1990 + loads more.
